Mundus Productions is an umbrella collective founded and run by creative artists, based in Amsterdam. It was established in 2005 by Dutch/Turkish percussionist and producer Sjahin During. The foundation has been involved in numerous international projects and collaborations, resulting in the release of 17 albums and extensive worldwide tours, spanning over 50 countries, including performances at major jazz and world music festivals.

At its core, Mundus Productions operates as a production house and record label, driven by artists and for artists. The foundation has played a significant role in supporting the global presence of well-known & new groups such as Arifa, Cacha Mundinho, Madaba Quartet, Amara Quartet, Namibian Tales & the Kalahari Encounters, Afro Anatolian Tales, Tarhana, Turqumstances, and Bayuba Cante.

Mundus Productions excels in bringing together musicians to form unique and profound ensembles, dedicated to exploring contemporary interpretations of ancient & modern traditions. In 2007, the foundation Mundus Productions was established to oversee the recording, production, and promotional activities of their tailer-made music ensembles.

Operating under the Mundus Productions umbrella, which functions as a collective for artists, the foundation is always in pursuit of new and creative musical journeys, aiming to create bridges between various profound music genres. This sincere commitment and search for artistic exploration and collaboration continues to define Mundus Productions as a unique and valuable contributor to the global music landscape.

We collaborate with music venues, organizations, and festivals through initiatives like artist-in-residences and composition assignments. Actively seeking partners who share our adventurous musical vision, we aim to create unique experiences for audiences and contribute to enrich the cultural landscape and the vibrancy of the musical ecosystem.
